Update to Office Poltergeist: Message left on Answer Machine

Having analysed the Wave file taken from the Telephone, it is a whispering Voice, which leaves a long message. From what I can tell it does not belong to anyone I know. I have analysed in Wave Pad Editor, and is very similar to the EVP's Electronic Voice Phenomenon. It ends in a comment 'we miss you', and it is probably from a Poltergeist, Spirit or entity. I have a copy but I have decided not to upload this, as it could be worrying for others.

This kind of phenomenon is known as EVP's Electronic Voice Phenomenon, and the work is controversial. To produce an EVP, you switch on a radio, and tune to a band between Radio stations to produce white noise, and set up a tape recorder to record. On playback sometimes you can discover voices and messages. There are specialist Paranormal shops that will sell you inexpensive equipment to pick up background noise, which is useful if you intend to some Paranormal investigation. Some agree that the white noise and sounds and voices are spirits, others are less convinced and do not agree, and say it is nothing but random noise. The jury is still out on the effectiveness of EPV's Electronic Voice Phenomenon.

The safety rules still apply A) The best way is to join a Group and go with someone. B) Always tell someone where you are going and leave maps and telephone number, as well as when you intend to start the Time and a provisional time when you will be back. C) Be careful if it is private property and if that is the case, then get the owners permission D) A Group or someone you know well is better always then being on your own.
E) Some Ghosts or Spirits can be dangerous so always make sure that you are with someone. F) Have a protection system, or spell. G) Imagine you are surrounded by a protective White Bubble, and that nothing can penetrate it. H) Start or close each session with the meditation. I) If you are religious then use it for protection with a prayer or few lines from a Psalm such as the Lords Prayer.

For the most part nothing probably will happen. It is best not to use the Ouija Board, while some have had results, it can be unpredictable. There are some who use it, and others who do not recommend it. There is a theory that when you use it, you connect with spirits on the lower plane who have died because of some tradegy. Some argue that other more darker sprits lay beyond and will be attracted to the user,or use the minor spirit or try to control it. No one is really sure, but there is evidence that using Ouija creates some sort of Gateway between this world and the next, and sometimes spirits can cross over, and even enter your House, if you have used one. That why I would recommend caution in using them, or try to find an experience user, preferably do not use it all, unless you are sure in what you are doing, and prepared for unexpected results.

When investigating paranormal phenomenon ensure all equipment works, take Hydronometers to measure temperature, the laser ones work best, and are avaliable from Maplin or other Paranormal equipment shops. Some like to take Photos of Orbs or other spirits which maybe present. Some also rig up Webcams to record photos, or even use Night vision cameras. It all depends on your time avaliable and budget.

I personally use a a cheap electromagenetic field detector. The Guass meter is very popular. The theory goes, that if a Ghost is present it will create disturbances in Electromagnetic Field, as does a sudden drop in temperature which can indicate the presence of a spirit. Before you start take control readings and look for draughts and electric equipment which could also intefere with readings. That way you can compare readings and rule out paranormal activity, if there is any and spirits are present.

Many of the places you visit will be old, or could be abandoned. Ensure you have torches, and backup batteries. If possible reconnoitre the area in the daylight. Remember the Golden rule is safety ensure more than one adult is present or that you go as a Group, so I would recommend joining a paranormal Group, which can organise and arrange investigations. Remember to have fun as well, but remember that your safety is also the main priority.

Poltergeist Activity- Answerphone Message from Unknown Spirit

I awoke Friday Morning and casually and reviewed the telephone messages, on the Answer Machine of my Main Telephone. I listened and got to a second message which time was recorded on Thursday 24th at 0517. I left the House early to travel to work in London at 0500. It starts off as a normal phone call, and then there is rustling of what sounds like papers. There is then a raspy Male Voice, which is breathing softly, and there is a lot of '-White noise' and feedback and ends in a Voice that sounds very harsh and Guttaral, but whispery, almost as an alien would sound. I believed it was an alien until my farther reminded me that it was likely that it was from the Ghost, that I had first had in the 'Office Poltergeist' Story on this weblog. I have a copy of the message which I am currently reviewing. I will keep posted if I have any more incidents.

Poltergeist Activity : Translocation of Objects

I am not sure how I get rid of what I call the Sixth Sense. I have tried to remove it in the past, but have had no luck. It seems I am stuck with it, which can be a blessing or curse, depending on your point of view.

I returned to my father’s home, and of course it seems a Ghost has followed. I have not seen it, but I am aware that it is there by the trail of objects it leaves. The last two weeks when I was alone in the House, I started to encounter objects being moved around the House, and not being in the same place where I left them.

The first incident left me a bit uneasy and involved my wrist watch. I placed it in the desk drawer shutting it. I went to the Bathroom to brush my teeth and wash. When I returned I found that my desk drawer was open, and the watch was now on the top of the desk. I picked up the watch and returned it to the drawer, and shut it. I went back to the bathroom and returned five minutes later, expecting to catch it in the act. When I entered the room I saw the watch had been placed back on the top of the desk and the draw was open.

Two nights later, I returned to my room and found one night, after I had gone to the bathroom that my folder containing documents and a written envelope with a note from my father had been put onto the bed. The note asked about driving lessons and whether I wanted a used Car. I had forgotten about my driving test, as I am not a confident driver and the lessons had slipped down my agenda on my Bucket list. Also on the bed was a Two pence coin, not exactly useful, but the thought was there. I suppose I can use to catch the bus. I just wish it had left me more money, but of course it does not work like that.

The previous night I had emptied the dishes from the dishwasher and it had completed the cycle. I opened the door, to let the heat out and went to watch the TV in the living room and the nightly BBC 10-00 Clock news. When I returned I found that someone had opened the dishwasher power draw and the draw for Liquid. I am a hundred percent sure that both draws were locked with the catch down when I went to the living room.

I will keep you posted if I find that anymore events have happened.

The Ghost of The Grenadier Pub, London.

The Grenadier Public House, Wilton Road, London, is famous for being one of London’s most haunted pubs and The Duke of Wellington drank there on occasions. It is haunted by the Ghost of a Grenadier.

The Young Soldier allegedly died after sustaining injuries from a beating from his Comrades after it was discovered he cheated in a card game in the public House. His Ghost is a reoccurring haunting and is said to appear in the month of September as it looks around the building and looking into rooms and travelling along corridors.

In June 2004 after work, five of my work Colleagues and I entered the Pub celebratory leaving drinks after a hard days toil. The Pub had filled with Customers and contained the usual Students and other revelers, and patrons, stopping for a quick drink before returning home. We all grabbed table and I noticed a Victorian Round Table with marquetry in Beach.

The table had Black Ink Roman Numerals around the edge and a brass plaque was dated 1890. One of my colleagues offered to buy the round, and we brought ales. He asked the Head Of the Department whether he could get one, and the answer was yes.

After some five minutes had passed, he returned to the table, and gave the pint to the Head of the Department. The Head was wearing Posh Oxfords and Chinos and a Shirt.

As sat his Pint down on the Table, the Glass containing the Ale, suddenly flew up and off the table and the Beer went flying over him. He shrugged and laughed the incident off, and someone else offered to buy him another one. In another corner of the Pub a woman screamed and she made a fuss that someone or something icy had touched her on the shoulder. None of us spoke of the incidents again and we got on with the evening entertainment. My guess is that it was the Ghost of The Grenadier.

Nottingham Castle Ghost

I was watching Channel Fours Election coverage,or BBC News Coverage,( I cannot remember which channel was featured), and part of it, involved Regional coverage.

There was a female reporter whose Election brief was to report from outside Nottingham Castle for some reason, probably on the Campaign and the implications for Nottingham.

While the coverage was going live, I noticed in the background, standing behind the reporter in the Nottingham Castle Gate House, a figure of a man in shining Armour. He was covered in Head to toe, in Chain Mail, and had a White Surplus and a Christian Cross on it, similar to a Crusader. I believe that he had a sword, but I cannot remember whether he had a shield. He stood behind the reporter, and the Journalist did not see him. I thought at the time, that it was a plastic figure, or copy of a Knight to draw in the Crowds. On reflection this morning I figured that it maybe a Ghost, so I set out, to check the facts. I have found Nottingham Castle's Webcam, the 360 link or paranorama view, is of the Gatehouse, and there is, this morning no sign of any such figure.

I guess that I could be mistaken, but given my history of seeing Ghosts, this probably is a new one. I am not sure whether others saw the same thing ? or whether it was just me, who saw it, at that point ?

Looking up the History of the Castle, Eleanor of Aquitane was held hostage by her Husband King Henry II. The Ghost of Eleanor of Aquitane is sometimes seen in the Grounds of the Castle. The History also indicates that King Richard The Lionhart lay siege to the castle, upon return from the Holyland and Crusades, against the men of King John. So in theory it could be one of the Knights of his army.

After reading a webblog on the Castle there are no actors employed to renact any of the Castles Battles. The Castle remains in its natural setting, so it seems that I do not have an explanation for the figure.

Other details which I remember were that the figure was very tall, and muscular, Six Foot Two, and had a Brown Beard. He wore metal Chainmail Gloves on both hands. The Cross was Red in Colour on a White Silk Tunic. The Knight from his appearance belonged to the Order of the Templars.

The Ghostly Ringer

I was sitting in the living room last night, and then, there were Six to Eight loud rings of the Front Door Bell. I could not be bothered to answer it, and my father did. He went to the door to deal with whoever was ringing the bell, and switched on the outside porch light, and looked through a Spy Hole and found that there was no one there. He immediately checked around and found no one. In itself, it is not really paranormal activity, and could be kids larking about. The Doorbell is electronic so, it does pick up other Doorbells that operate on similar radio frequencies so it possible that is what happened.
There are some Spirits and Ghosts, such as Poltergeist who can use the electrical systems as well as Lights of buildings, to frighten the living, some also can effect computers with no sign of the intervention of the spirit. I have personally encountered the rapid switching on and off of lights, a classic trick of poltergeists, which they use to communicate. It is not just restricted to them, but to other Ghosts and Spirits as well. In the Office Poltergeist encounter, the lights would go on and off, in rapid succession, or sometimes would be switched off. When I was working late in the Office, I witnessed it personally on many occasions. All the Lights seem to switch off in one go, and the one above me stayed on. I checked them all out, and found they worked, and were not broken.
On its own the ringing of the Doorbell could be taken to be children larking around in the street outside. Later, I prepared for bed, and when I went to my room, I checked my bed which was all neatly and cleanly made, and folded correctly, and there was no sheets out of place and a tucked in Blanket covered the whole bed.
Later, I brushed my teeth and left for about two Minutes, and when I returned, I found that the whole of the top right corner had been folded back exposing the sheet underneath.Neither my father and I, had been into the room, so I am can assume that it was a spirit of some sort, letting me know that it was around.

Do the Undead Exist as powerful Spirits or Ghosts ? (Personal Theory)

Theory based on Direct Observation in the Field Evidence based on (Russian Ghost Encounter)(Personal Theories)
Wraiths are very powerful Spirits which probably are elemental of water, forest, soil, and earth, and non Human based. They are a powerful form of the undead, and are intelligent, and clever, either that or a form of a very powerful entity. The location was an ordinary Graveyard that was well looked after, and tended, and in that respect was an ordinary Russian cemetery that the villagers were all buried in, including powerful families.
There was part of a Graveyard that contained rows and rows, of unmarked Graves, that were very small, which was near the front of the Graveyard towards the wall. That part was not so well kept, and had very long Grass, obscuring the Graves. It might be that such undead Spirits reside in areas where the Graves and fallen into disrepair, or are not so well looked after. The Wraith itself was I believe a Guardian or protector of the Dead. It was a powerful entity like creature, which did not fear daylight or human activity. It was moving around in broad daylight, so I am not sure how that can occur.
It was when I first encountered not in that part but towards the middle centre on a higher area, surrounded by Cherry Trees in Blossom. It was bending down to read the names and details on the Grave, and next to it were fresh Red roses. It was in the form of what I mistakenly I believe to be a grieving widow, as it was dressed all in Black. The reasons why it should not be approached, and was powerful, remain the fact that it could move very fast. It was only a few seconds from being towards the middle and back to appearing towards the front of the graveyard and when it was looking up at me and the people on the Coach. It has the power to shift form and is a shape shifter. It carried out a trick to frighten me which succeeded, of growing rapidly in size, to Seven Feet, and the area behind it and around it grew dark and Black. It was a trick to warn me off, and succeeded as I had no intention of entering the Graveyard.
I got the impression that it hated intruders and that it regarded the Graveyard or cemetery as its personal territory. It did not like the fact that I could see it, and I was fully aware of it. It was also fully aware that I could see it, and was puzzled by the fact, which was why it was drawn to me. The reason why it was undead was that its hands remained skeletal, but unlike a normal human, they were very long bony fingers, much more than normal.
There was nothing in the dark Cowl or hood, except a Human skull. The reason why the entity or spirit is evil is that I had the impression, that the force is a form of energy as the Skull was animated, by a dull Orange to red Light, which lit up the Sockets. The skull then was alive, and it grinned at me, and laughed before I looked away. It was a powerful trick again used to scare me and it succeeded. It was away for the Creature to challenge me, and tell me that the Graveyard and its contents belonged to it, and were its territory and to keep out and stay away.
I believe that entity’s or powerful undead, can manipulate there environments and space and time. When I got to the Hotel, there was a wood carving in the restaurant which was almost identical, to what I had seen, except it was more human. So I would say that such as entity is localised to that part or region of Russia, as it is present in the Folklores and tales. It was the inspiration for local Russian artists to carve it from there Folklore and tales. The strange fact remains that no one on the Coach and Tour saw the entity and spirit in though it was a few feet away, next to the Graveyard wall. Everyone else continued with there business while the spirit was looking up me and the Coach. So I do not really have answers as to why some people can see it and others cannot.

Ghosts of the A23, The London Road to Brighton.

For a long time now there have been reported figures, on the A23 Road to Brighton. One is a Ghost of a Young Girl who crosses the A23 at the Village of Pyecombe at a Crossroads, just before what was a Texaco Petrol Garage. I have not personally witnessed it, but there has not been any eyewitness encounters for some time. In 2007, I was travelling by Bus, as the line was up between, London and Brighton, and I was visiting a friend in Brighton to do some shopping. I had a great day out and climbed the bus in October, for the return journey, which was bumpy and uncomfortable, although more picturesque, then by Train.
We had left Brighton, I had settled down on the Top Deck of the Double Decker. I looked out as we joined the A23 Brighton to London Motorway and I sat down towards the back end. It was dark and the entire Motorway was lit up by Neon Amber Lights. The rain had come down in puddles and the Windows of the Bus were steaming up on the outside, from the Hours of Dead Straight Rain. I put on my MP3 Player and listened to the ABBA Gold Album, I had received as a Birthday present, and I turned up the volume for ‘Momma Mia’.
We were just beyond, ‘The Chesnuts Riding School,’ when suddenly I heard very loudly in my Right and Left Ears, which drowned out the Noise from the MP3 Player Children’s Voices, of a Girl and Boy, which was laughter and Joking, and it sounded as if they were involved in a Game. It lasted two or three minutes, and then was gone. I looked around to see if someone on the Bus was causing it, and there was no one. The only other individual on the Bus was seated at the Front , and he was listening to his MP3 Player.
I did not think more about it until I returned home and casually spoke to my farther, he suggested that it was a stray Radio Signal that entered my Brain, in which I processed and heard. I do not really believe him, and feel that the explanation remains a Supernatural one. It was definitely Children’s laughter and voices, and that certainly would not have been broadcast by a Radio Station. The A23 is set in a Cut through the Downs, and The Downs would act as a filter blocking out radio Signals. I don't believe it possible for Radio Signals to penetrate and go through the Skull, and again How could I translate it as sound ? I believe that the voices belonged to one of the many figures that often Cross the A23.

Review: Most Haunted Live: True Evil Prague

watched Most Haunted Live, and have seen a few before, but to be totally honest I havenot seen too many of them. This edition came from under the Court House in Prague. Prague supposedly is Haunted city, which was connected to WitchCraft. . The reason was that the Court House was Haunted by, as is usual, with the sensational Paranormal TV Programmes, by the Dead Souls of 27 Executed men, or so the programme makers would have you believe.

It was as usual involving a Live Ouija Board Session, in which a Glass moved, making out names, under control of the participants. The Ghost revealed that they were not happy with the Cameras in place. There were live Night Vision Cameras, and Web Cams, in Oubliettes( French for Dungeons or 'places of forgetting'). It seemed to be about, the Team touring the premises looking for Ghostly activity- If you go in for that sought of thing. They found a place which was oppressive, and all of the men, seemed to find it depressing. They then discovered that the room above, was where the 27 men were executed, hence the feeling of oppression. They then as is the case with Most Haunted, split up and went looking for Ghosts.

The Most Convincing evidence of Night, came from a Scream of a Girl, which was picked up on Microphones, and when played back, there did seem to be one, recorded on Tape. They found Animal Bones, and in various parts of it, and they came accross, Growling noises. The team split up and two went down and spent time in an Oubliette. They found that something was pushing one of them from behind, and one of them was struck on the back of a Head, by a rock or something. They invited the Ghosts to get angry, which I do not think was too credible. It would also be dangerous too. Yvette and others also ventured into an Oubliette, and succombed to fear of the Unknown and believed that something was done there with them. The uncovincing evidence came from Webcams, and lots of people left comments that they could see shadowns and Figures in the Background. It could be the case that they did, but much of the comments all contradicted each other so they all ended up seeing different things rather than the same thing.

A Demonologist gave detailed history about Prague, which probably had some element of truth. It reminded me a bit of Turin, a city ,in which I lived in for a year. It is said, that one of Gateways to Hell is supposedly found in Montepucino Monastery which is now blocked off according to the legend anyway. I am not sure I believe it, but The Monks went mad.It is true that there are lots of Satanic and other Occult Groups in Turin, as well as the presence of the Catholic Church. Prague similarly has a reputation of being one of the most haunted capitals in Europe.

All told it was good viewing for TV, and entertainment, but I cannot but feel, that it was perhaps exagerated. Some elements are indeed true, but the sceptic in me isn't too sure that all parts are Genuine, in my view. For me because of witnessing cases of Ghosts first hand, I know they exist, but I am not too sure about the programme, and think some of it is faked. The Handcross Road Ghost. (B2114)

My father and Mother had completed a shopping trip to County Mall in Crawley and were returning late about 5-30pm on a Thursday Night. They had enjoyed the day, and the Car Boat, was filled with Clothes and various parcels. They took the M23, and had joined the A23, before finally coming off the Motorway at Handcross. By then it was a cold Crisp November evening and there was no Clouds in the sky, and The Country Road the B2114 went through the village of Handcross and travelled to Staplefield.
They were driving fast, and there was not much Traffic on the Road. They had followed the twisty narrow bending Road, and there Car was the only one on it, as they headed of the Village of Staplefield travelling onwards to Cuckfield. My Mother said she wasn’t thinking much about anything at the time, and my father concentrated on the Road, always remained a careful driver.
According to my mother’s testimony, my father had to suddenly slam on The breaks, as out of Gap between the Hedgerow on the Left, and a low wall, they both saw the shadow of what my mother claims was the Ghost of a young Victorian woman, in A Black Victorian Dress, and Long Boots, with Laces shoot out and cross in front of the Car, gliding above the Road surface. She knows that she was from the Victorian era, has her Head, was covered by a Black large Cloak which was lined Red and descended to form a Coat. If any of you have seen the advert it would be similar to the one the Model wears in The Scottish Widows Advert which edged with White Lace, which was running down the sides.
It was over in incident as the Ghost disappeared through a low Hedge on the other side, and presumably dematerialised. When they both collected their wits together they resumed the Journey and they looked into the Hedge and surrounding fields, and of no one was there that they could have mistaken for the Ghost.

The Gibraltar- Rock Ghost

The encounter was told to me by someone who worked for the British Embassy and who is now retired was a close friend of my mother. They had been seconded to the Governors Residence, and compound that belonged to the British Government and Embassy in Gibraltar. The Residence on Top of the Rock was a site that is today called, ‘The Convent’, after a Spanish convent. The Residence was converted from its previous use, and still contains much of the original layout with the addition of working Government Offices.
The story, that the Convent was used by the Spanish Inquisition at its height, and was the residence of a Carmelite Nunnery. One of the young Nuns in training, who had taken her vow of silence, had an affair in Secret with a male lover outside.
When the affair was discovered as a punishment she was bricked up in a Section that was not used very often, behind a wall, and died of starvation, lack of water and oxygen. Strange things happened to this today, in parts of the Building, including the appearance of an apparition of the Young nun who was said to roam the site, looking for her Lover. Sometimes there were cold spots and unexplained noises, and the movement and displacement of objects in Offices. One night my mother’s friend had stayed late to get some extra work done, in the Office, to The Governor, she had finished putting the touches to a briefing and completed her work. All of the other colleagues had disappeared and left for their apartments and it was largely deserted. She had wrapped warmly and had locked up and had started her return journey which led past the Cobbled court yard. It led past a Wing of the building where it was alleged the Nun had been bricked up, it stood empty and the Long Corridor, came to two large Wooden Doors, with a metal Handle, which remained locked. On that night she had crossed close to the two Doors became aware of a presence, because of the noise. The Large Wooden Double Doors, were been rattled by someone on the other side. She saw the metal handle turn before falling back, as someone released there grip because they could not open. She looked at her watch and it was just before Midnight. Once it had occurred she headed off at a brisk pace, and broke into a run and did not look back to find out who was responsible.
To do this day she has no explanation for whoever or whatever was the cause. That part of the Wing remained Closed off, and stood empty, which was where the Nun had been bricked up. She assumes that she heard Her Ghost, which does not apparently rest.

The Ghost of a Ward Matron- Hove General Hospital

The following accounts are based on true eyewitness accounts reported by close colleagues and friends who remain anonymous. The story was related to my mother by a nursing friend who worked a long time ago at the Old Hove General Hospital. She had completed her nursing training and worked as a night Sister. The Ward she worked on, was separate from the main Hospital building, on a male Ward. The story was told by Junior nurses, who, worked on the Wards to each other as well as by Doctors. It was according to her Common knowledge around the Hospital and made up part of the legends and History of the place.. A Dedicated Night Matron who had worked on the ward, and who was due to retire, had fallen ill, and was rushed into the same Hospitals, Accident and Emergency Department. She was operated on immediately, because of internal bleeding, but sadly did not recover. For whatever reason, she did not recover from the Operation. The ward that she worked on and had been appointed to, as a Night Sister, was the Ward that had belonged to the Matron, when she was alive.
The friend of my mothers did not believe in Ghosts and believed it was a story told to new Juniors, and to keep them amused. Rumours had spread amongst them that particular Ward was haunted by Her Ghost. Strange Noises, the manifestation of her Ghost, appearances as well as the disappearance and reappearance of Instruments and Objects were often nightly occurrences.
According to my mother’s friend, she was working on the Ward, and all the patients had turned in for the night, and had their main evening meals. There was only one access point which was the main entrance. She had filled the notes, with her pen and reviewed them, and had settled down at her desk, at the Main Ward Bay. It was about 3-30am in the Morning, from the Ward Clock on her desk. She did her round and saw that all of her patients were safely asleep and tucked up in Bed and accounted for. She had sat down, and returned to the Main bay, when she heard the flush of a Toilet. Disturbed, she looked at all the beds and saw that all were still there, and accounted for - tucked up safely in bed. She was the only one on, so she was shocked by the sound of the noise. She went through the Door to the Toilet, and checked each cubicle out. Her face went pale, and her heart had skipped a few beats. To this day, she says that there was absolutely no one there, so what then had caused the flushing and who had pulled on one of the chains.

It is known because of personal sense of duty, sometimes Ghosts, form attachments to particular buildings, or to locations, that were important to them when they were alive. I can only assume that this was the case and I have no reason to doubt her testimony. It was the 1960’s so that particular ward was pulled down, and which had been used in the War, and now a Modern Day Car park has been built over the site, and the haunting is certainly no longer an active one.

Towards a Typology/Nomenclature: The Theory of Haunting And Ghosts

According to traditional belief, a ghost is the soul or spirit of a deceased person, taken to be capable of appearing in visible form or otherwise manifesting itself to the living (Wikipedia Definition).
Joan Foreman in her book,(The Haunted South, Jarrold Publishing)(1989). Originally published, (Robert Hale Ltd 1978). She provides a typology of different types of haunting and believes that energy is needed, in some form, for the 'Phenomenon to work'. In areas of haunting heat loss is always an observable condition. Other forms of energy-electricity and, more rarely, gas-are often affected. There is perhaps some physical basis in Physics and Biology for the Haunting mechanism.
‘For haunting involving audible manifestations; often there are apparent distortions in them. Footsteps and other noises sound hollow, unreal, and there is a quality of reverberation-almost of vibration involved. Speech often sounds distorted, its rhythms, being recognizably, those of speech, but its details, are often blurred and indistinguishable. Music does not have these limitations.’ (Haunted South: pp 206). If the phenomenon does operate electrically, then it might be feasible that in audible cases, sound waves produced may be distorted. This seems likely where the recorded type of Transmission is involved. At certain frequencies playback of media, can reveal, certain types noises and perhaps distortion.

1. Recurrent Haunting by a Static figure, always reappearing in the same position.

NB- Apparitions may appear in similar fashion-either at once or by degrees, though later seem rare).
I have witnessed in the Balcombe Road Ghost case a process of How Spirits can manifest themselves. In Order, it would appear :
A) Ectoplasm-A Fog or Mist like substance.
What then is definition of Ectoplasm ? According to Wikipedia, Ectoplasm (from the Greek ektos, meaning "outside", and plasma, meaning "something formed or molded") is a term coined by Charles Richet to denote a substance or spiritual energy "exteriorized" by physical mediums.Ectoplasm is said to be associated with the formation of ghosts, and asserted to be an enabling factor in psychokinesis(PK TK). It is a term coined by publisher Henry Holt] to refer to the direct influence of mind on a physical system that cannot be entirely accounted for by the mediation of any known physical energy. Examples of psychokinesis could include distorting or moving an object, and influencing the output of a random number generator. (Wikipedia). Ectoplasm is said to be produced by physical mediums when in a trance state. This material is excreted as a gauze-like substance from orifices on the medium's body and spiritual entities are said to drape this substance over their nonphysical body, enabling them to interact in our physical universe. Although the term is accepted in popular culture, its physical existence is disputed by Science.

Why Then Do Some of Us see Apparitions and Others Do Not ?
Joan Foreman advances a Theory that it is Biological. The Human Brain uses routinely four different frequencies known as Alpha, Beta, Delta and Theta Wavelengths. Of the Four, it is the Alpha State, which seems mostly associated with Psychic ability, often being present in the subject prior to a paranormal experience. The Alpha State is a wavelength associated with meditation, and represents the Brains, ‘neutral or daydreaming Gear’, when intense concentration is not taking place. Often, when Paranormal experiences occur, the person or subject, was ‘not thinking about anything particular at the time’. In other words he/she was not concentrating. This frequency, though common in Adults is rarely used by others. It may be the latter who do not experience psychic phenomenon.
